Long term plans - schnapps!

Nigella Lawson presented an alluring picture of rhubarb schnapps in her book and since it's rhubarb season and since we will celebrate Midsummer in Sweden in June, there's no reason not to make rhubarb schnapps!

Rhubarb Schnapps

1/2kg chopped rhubarb
2/3 cup sugar
A small bottle of vodka

Add rhubarb to a sterilized jar and then add sugar and vodka, enough  vodka to cover the fruit. Close jar and keep in a dark place. Shake it every day for 6 weeks, then pour it into a cute bottle.

I'm also waiting for our Rose Geranium plant to have more leaves so that I can start making air freshner and laundry freshner.

Here is the way it turns out after 6 weeks of aging:

We liked the flavor but would prefer not to have sugar in it next time. It was rather sweet.
